Minnesota Twins interested in signing Yasmany Tomas?
By Josh Hill
The Minnesota Twins like to build winners rather than buy them but they may soon combine methods to get back into the postseason and back to where they were all throughout the 2000s.

After being threatened with contraction in the early 2000s, the Twins became staples in the postseason and the poster child for how to build a small ballclub through home growing a lineup. That’s still the name of the game in Minnesota but the Twins could get in on the next bidding war for the next Cuban sensation.
According to MLB scribe Steve Adams, while he can’t see the Twins paying top dollar for Yasmany Tomas, he’s someone the Twins may still consider and surprise many by going after.
"That’d be something in the future, however, if they could have Tomas and Sano in the middle of the lineup. Plus Vargas, if he keeps hitting."
Tomas is the most likely big name free agent the Twins will go after as he fits a role on their team and helps with the growing young talent Minnesota has in their infield. After years of growing players in their farm system, the Twins are starting to tap into the foreign ballplayer market and that could lead to them trying to erase the Tsuyoshi Nishioka taste from their mouths byt going in on Tomas.
