As a member of the Phoenix Suns, Amare Stoudemire was one of the premier big men in the NBA. As a member of the New York Knicks, well, it’s been a struggle.

Ever since joining the franchise during the 2010 offseason, Stoudemire has dealt with constant injury and has only played over 65 games once, his first season in the Big Apple where he suited up for 78 contests. If there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel it’s that Amare played in those 65 games last season and is said to look very healthy and fit coming into this year.
Combine that with a much svelter Carmelo Anthony and there is belief among many that the New York Knicks could surprise people this season.
That’s the hope of Amare himself who says he’s thrilled with the changes the franchise made this offseason and is excited about what the Knicks could do this year.
.@sethrlevine: ---> said he's also excited about what the Knicks could be this season. Loves the changes.

Relying on Amare Stoudemire in any capacity will lead to nothing but disappointment though if the former All-Star can give the New York Knicks a solid contribution off the bench and stay relatively healthy, it will be a massive help to their woeful front line.
There may be some extra incentive for STAT this season as well considering he’s going into a contract season and if he can’t prove himself to be healthy, it’s going to hurt his bottom line moving forward.
