When you think of explosive offenses in the NFL, the first team likely to come to mind are the New Orleans Saints.

More from Atlanta Hawks

Lead by quarterback Drew Brees, the Saints have routinely been among the NFL’s elite offensively for nearly a decade though Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White doesn’t seem to care.

After a down season which saw both White and fellow wide receiver Julio Jones go down to injury, the Atlanta Falcons aren’t planning to roll over for the favored Saints this time around. Yes, Roddy White is aware New Orleans can get into the end zone quite often, but so can the Falcons.

At least that’s the thinking of White who says the New Orleans Saints need to worry about stopping the Atlanta Falcons, not the other way around.

While it’s nothing more than chest pounding on the part of Roddy White, he likely does have somewhat of a valid point. The Atlanta Falcons were not a good team in 2013 though much of that was due to injury. Now with everybody apparently healthy and the Falcons offense built for passing, it appears that White, Julio Jones and Matt Ryan should have a bounce back year.

Will that be enough to handle the talented New Orleans Saints come Week 1? That remains to be seen, though understandably White has grown irritated about the constant praising of the Saints and believes the Falcons deserve praise too, especially given how well they’ve produced in the past.

Sounds like it should be one hell of a game on Sunday.
