Jadeveon Clowney suffered concussion during Houston Texans camp

You may recall Jadeveon Clowney was forced to miss a week of practice during the Houston Texans training camp in August, though why exactly that happened was kept relatively quiet.

It was seemingly played off as a typical football related injury and that Clowney would be fine in a few days. That proved to be true, though it wasn’t just a basic injury that Jadeveon Clowney suffered, it was a concussion.
Of course, the head injury was some time ago and it will have no impact on Jadeveon Clowney’s status for the Houston Texans Week 1 game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday afternoon. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft will suit up completely healthy as he passed the NFL’s protocol, though the concussion has to be a little worrisome.
It’s believed that Jadeveon Clowney suffered the concussion during a joint practice between the Texans and the Denver Broncos.
The two sides were performing helmet-to-helmet drills and Clowney along with Broncos backup tight end Jacob Tamme ended up banging pretty hard, leading to both being pulled off the field.
Thankfully neither is experiencing any lingering effects from the accident and both are said to be just fine currently, so the mention of Clowney’s concussion is simply in effort to keep track of potential head injury.
Hopefully the talented defender can avoid such in the future especially given the seriousness of a head injury.
