Josh Gordon will have a lot of time on his hands as he sits out for an entire year after the NFL suspended him. So is he going to work out extra hard? Maybe pick up a hobby? Go on a year-long retreat to some isolated mountain to meditate and sort out his life? Nope. Of all things, Josh Gordon has found employment with an Ohio car dealership.

More from Cleveland Browns

ESPN’s Josina Anderson had the scoop on Gordon taking up employment with the Sarchione Auto Group as a goodwill ambassador. She details his duties as such:

"He will be working in all aspects of their car business including as an on-floor salesman. Gordon will also be heading all of their local community efforts including with the Wounded Warriors Project. He starts this weekend."

So it’ll be a multi-faceted effort. Gordon will rake in some car sales (what Browns fan isn’t buying a car from him?) while also helping out the community.

Staying busy will be the key for Gordon if he wants to be re-instated in the NFL after the season ends. His suspension was for one full year, which means Gordon could miss minicamp, training camp, and the preseason in 2015. That wouldn’t be ideal for a receiver trying to get back on board with an offense that will have practiced all summer without him.

Gordon’s 2014 season is shot, but if he can keep his head on straight at the car dealership, expect his efforts to count in his favor when he asks kindly if he can please return to practice next summer.
