For the first time in nearly a decade, there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel for the Sacramento Kings franchise.

Left for dead by their previous ownership group, Vivek Ranadive and company purchased the franchise and in turn stopped a potential relocation to Seattle. Some have questioned moves from the current front office regime, though with an improving DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay on the roster it appears as if the Sacramento Kings are headed in the correct direction.
They’ll be doing so on a new court this season as the tarnished hardwood the organization played on in the past has been thrown out and a new court complete with purple sidelines is currently being painted.

The Kings have yet to officially make an announcement though shared pictures of the new court with local media.
In addition to the new and improved color scheme, the Sacramento Kings have placed their alternate ‘crown’ logo directly to the side of the key elbow on both sides of the floor.
As for the main center court logo, it’s not known if Sacramento will continue with their current logo or will opt to use either a font script or the alternate logo being placed on the elbow. Either way, it’ll be a welcome change for not only those in Sacramento but those who have to play on the court.
No word on if the current court design will make its way to Sacramento’s new arena set to open in 2016.
