In one of the most eagerly anticipated Week 1 matchups, the Denver Broncos will host Andrew Luck and his Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.

More from Denver Broncos

A possible AFC title game precursor, Luck will have his work cut out for him as he attempts to not only keep up with the scoring pace of the lightning-quick Denver Broncos offense but also handle their reinforced defense. That’s something Broncos defensive back Chris Harris hints Andrew Luck will have trouble doing as he believes the former Stanford product is going to be flushed out of the pocket rather often.

Harris will have his eye on the Colts signal caller as will the rest of Denver’s defense who plan to ‘plaster’ Luck.

“So we know with Andrew Luck running around, we’ve got to plaster — and ‘plaster’ means we’ve got to lock onto our guys immediately when we see him out of the pocket, because it’s going to happen.”

Might this be the most odd shot ever taken? It’s not that Harris is suggesting they’re going to ‘plaster’ Andrew Luck by attempting to hurt him, but rather suggesting he’s going to struggle because he’s going to be out of the pocket so often thanks to the Denver pass rush.

Chris Harris also went on to say that he’s going to treat Luck like Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and tackle him high.

“I’m treating Andrew Luck like Big Ben,” Harris said. “When you’re playing Roethlisberger, you can’t tackle him low. You have to tackle him high, and tackle the ball, because he’s so strong.”

Backhanded compliments for the win.
