The event will take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri and it is headlined by a championship double-header.
In the main event of Invicta FC 8, atomweight champion Michelle Waterson will put her title on the line against Japan’s Yasuko Tamada (15-8-3), who is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. Waterson (11-3) has not lost since April of 2009 and she has five finishes during her current six-fight winning streak — including a 15-second flying armbar.
XFC champion Stephanie Eggink (4-1) and Invicta veteran Katja Kankaanpaa (9-1-1) will face off in the co-main event for the vacant strawweight title, which was vacated when the UFC signed a number of Invicta FC fighters to fill the cast of season 20 of The Ultimate Fighter including former champion Carla Esparza.
Other notable fighters on the card include Ediane Gomes, Tonya Evinger, Michelle Ould, Roxanne Modafferi, Peggy Morgan, Jinh Yu Frey and Tara LaRosa.
