While Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III suggests he’s as healthy as he’s ever been, many question if that’s truly the case.

Healthy or not, he figures to pass rather often this season and it’s believed that tight end Jordan Reed may end up leading the Washington Redskins in receptions when the season concludes. That’s the feeling of ESPN’s John Keim who believes Jordan Reed will be used in a featured role.
Responding to a fan question, Keim hinted that he believes either Reed or wide receiver Pierre Garcon will be the Washington Redskins top target machine.
"Tough to say, but it definitely seems Robert Griffin III has a good rapport with tight end Jordan Reed. He’s an excellent target in multiple situations — third downs, red zone, early downs — because of his size and athleticism. I’d expect Reed or Pierre Garcon to lead in receptions and would figure Jackson gets in the 60s."
The Washington Redskins aren’t exactly what you’d call deep at wide receiver and DeSean Jackson, while talented, is more of a big play threat than Garcon who is more of a possession receiver. Garcon’s likely to face extra coverage which will leave Jordan Reed in single sets more often than not.
Of course, Reed will need to stay healthy to lead the Redskins in receptions, something he has struggled to do recently as he’s dealt with severe concussion issues. Assuming he can stay on the field, there’s no reason to believe that Jordan Reed won’t be the Redskins top receiver.
