With Peyton Manning and the Broncos clicking on offense and the Denver defense generating a lot of pressure on Luck, it was mostly a one-sided affair in the first half of this game. The potential of a blowout put the Colts in a position where they desperately needed to put some points on the scoreboard before halftime.
Showing the talent and the instincts that have already made him an elite quarterback in the NFL, Colts’ quarterback Andrew Luck came through with a big play in the closing moments of the second quarter to make sure that his team was not shut out in the first half.
Luck had to earn it, with a nice display of athleticism as he dove for the pylon and finished the nine-yard rushing touchdown to make the score 24-7.
It was initially ruled that Luck was out of bounds just short of the goal line, but further review overturned the call and made it an important touchdown for the Colts.
