They certainly started the season on the right foot, earning a road victory over the Chicago Bears in their season-opener on Sunday.
The Bills got off to a fantastic start, taking a 17-7 lead into the half. However, Jay Cutler and the Bears rallied in the second half to tie things up at 17 entering the fourth quarter.
With 4:02 to play, Dan Carpenter’s field goal put the Bills up three. The Bears answered when Robbie Gould hit his second field goal of the day to tie things up with 30 seconds to play, sending the game to overtime.
After the Bears were stopped, E.J. Manuel found Fred Jackson, who took it 38 yards to the one-yard line. Then, Carpenter stepped up and knocked down a 27-yard field goal to give the Bills a 23-20 win.
