The Buffalo Bills gambled big last season when they reached and drafted E.J. Manuel but so far the plan hasn’t blown up in their faces.

Buffalo didn’t get a full season with Manuel in 2013 as an injury kept him from being all he could be, but this season shows so much more promise. So far, that promise has resulted in a touchdown run by Manuel, as he took in a quarterback sneak against the Chicago Bears to get the Bills a 7-0 lead.
The Bills need Manuel to break out this season and he has the weapons to take the steps forward that are expected of him.
One quarterback sneak for a touchdown doesn’t mean Manuel is a breakout star, but it shows that he can be efficient and can get things done early on in the game.
