We get a lot of cool stories about celebrities or atletes taking the public transportation system to games or events, most seem to come out of New York City. There was the time Jay Z took the subway to a concert in Brooklyn and was mobbed by fans and chatted up an old lady.
When Metta World Peace played for the Knicks he took the subway to a game at Madison Square Garden at least one time.
It doesn’t seem to happen quite as often in cities that are more sprawling, mostly because those cities don’t have quite the public transportation system that New York City has. On his way to the game today, Atlanta Falcons president and CEO Rich McKay took MARTA to the Georgia Dome.
