After just narrowly missing out on the Super Bowl in 2012, the Atlanta Falcons had an awful season in 2013.

With several players returning from injury, the Falcons have high hopes for the 2014 season. They had a chance to get off to a fantastic start by taking down the New Orleans Saints in their season-opener on Sunday afternoon.
In what turned out to be the game of the day, they did just that, defeating the Saints 37-34 in overtime.
The two teams went back-and-forth all day and a Mark Ingram touchdown run gave the Saints a 34-31 lead with just 1:20 to go. Matt Ryan, as he often does, led the Falcons down the field to set up a 51-yard Matt Bryant field goal at the gun to send the game to overtime.
In overtime, Drew Brees found Marques Colston, but Colston fumbled and the Falcons recovered. Bryant then hit another field goal, this time from 52 yards out, to give the Falcons the victory.
You can relive Bryant’s kick below.
