The Buffalo Bills will be under new ownership soon enough. As far as that story line is concerned, the focus has been primarily on whether or not Jon Bon Jovi was a legit candidate to buy the team.

With bids due to buy the team this week, we have a good sense of who the actual leading contender is to buy the Bills. No, it is not Bon Jovi.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS, current Buffalo Sabres’ owner Terry Pegula is clearly the favorite to buy the Bills.
"Pegula is viewed as the most viable option. He has made his intent clear, and sources said he’s poised to handle the $1.1 billion to $1.4 billion expected price tag for the franchise.Pegula has strong public support, given his commitment to keeping the team in Western New York, and his finances are above reproach and at a time when many other suitors are falling by the way side, he is prepared to make a strong bid for the team."
La Canfora also notes that Pegula would likely have the financial resources and credibility to hold off any last second contenders brought in for a bidding war.
"…Pegula has expressed a willingness to confidants to do whatever he has to do to get the team, sources said."
There might not be a lot of glamour if Pegula lands the team, but it will set the Bills up with a solid ownership situation moving forward.
