He and Calvin Johnson accounted for the first three touchdowns and the Giants couldn’t respond.

Stafford’s third — which was a rushing touchdown — boosted the Lions to 27-7 lead. He showed an urgency that bodes well for the Lions prospects. The Lions are legit.
Stafford finished the game 22-0f-32 for 346 with two passing touchdowns and a 125.3 passer rating. Calvin Johnson finished with seven receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson was an absolute terror all night long. The entire Lions’ team contributed and finished strong, as 11 offensive players touched the ball in the victory.
Giants’ new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo couldn’t find a way for Eli Manning to settle down. Manning was 18-0f-33 for 163 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. The Giants passing offense looked ugly as whole, and while one of Manning’s interceptions was a head scratcher, he certainly needed a little help from his receiving core. One of the interceptions, however was just a sensational play by DeAndre Levy.
On the Giants’ only first half scoring drive, the Lions committed penalties on three occasions that allowed the drive to continue. Without those errors, they might have held the Giants scoreless in the first half. They righted the ship almost immediately and held the Lions to 3.5 yards per play on the game.
The Lions defensive front sacked Eli Manning two times for 19 yards. They sealed it with a 4th and 1 stop with three minutes left. Ndamukong Suh was in on the play and put an endnote on the game.
Now, marvel at the Lions first two passing touchdowns.
And the easy, breezy grab.
And the Eli Manning sad face.
