During the first quarter of their season-opening game against the Detroit Lions on Monday night, the Giants lost star pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul. As Pierre-Paul closed in on a sack of Lions’ quarterback Matt Stafford, Pierre-Paul instead ran into his own teammate and Stafford wound up getting the pass away.
Pierre-Paul was injured during the first quarter and taken off of the field.
The Giants don’t have to fret – Pierre-Paul returned to the game in the second quarter and immediately made an impact, making a big tackle in the run game.
