The NFL has done the obvious right thing and removed all Ray Rice gear from its official NFL shop, in wake of video showing Rice punching his then-fiance surfacing and his subsequent release from the Baltimore Ravens.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell reported the news:
You can no longer order a Ray Rice jersey on the NFL's official shop (H/T @davidfmeyers)

Rice’s gear, some of which was incredibly geared toward women, was still able to be purchased for sometime on Monday, which led to some justified outrage on social media.
These pink Ray Rice women's jerseys are still for sale on http://t.co/MbRzXD4INF as of noon today. Unbelievable. http://t.co/mLVBf4A6Ya

The display of Rice gear (depicted in the tweet above) still shows up on the NFL Shop website, but a user receives a message that reads “We are sorry but this item has been discontinued,” once they click on a jersey.
It’s not just the NFL Shop that is distancing itself from Rice after his horrible actions have become available in video form. Rovell also has reported that Dick’s Sporting Goods and Modell’s are clearing all Rice jerseys from its stores.
In addition to his release from Baltimore, the NFL suspended Rice indefinitely on Monday. The Ravens drafted Rice with the No. 55 pick of the 2008 NFL Draft.
