When Kevin Love was placed on the trade block by the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this offseason, the Boston Celtics weren’t only one of the first teams to make a trade call, they were deemed the favorite.

With multiple draft picks at their disposal and young talent like center/power forward Jared Sullinger on the roster, it seemed as if the Boston Celtics had all the needed pieces to swing a deal. For whatever reason though, no trade was ever agreed upon and Kevin Love was sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As for Jared Sullinger, he suggests he wasn’t bothered by hearing his name in trade talks considering he said he doesn’t pay attention to them.
“Goes in one ear and out of the other. No disrespect to you all, but [I] don’t like y’all, don’t listen to y’all. I’m just being blunt and honest. All of the stuff I’ve heard about me, and what I can and can’t do — who I can be, who I won’t be — I just stopped listening to y’all a long time ago.”
That said, Sullinger may not pay attention to rumors but he certainly does hear them. The former Ohio State star says the whispers do add a bit of extra motivation though he seems to understand it’s just business on the part of the Boston Celtics and not a reflection of their view on him.
Looking much svelter after a significant weight loss, Jared Sullinger suggests his primed for a big season in Beantown.
