Verizon announces iPhone 6 pre-order and trade in

Verizon Wireless is staying at the front of the iPhone 6 news.  With the announcement of the phone going on sale on September 19 today, Verizon has announced that they will be starting pre-orders ahead of time.  As expected, the device more than likely will be difficult to obtain in the first few weeks.

Verizon will be starting pre-orders for the iPhone 6 on September 12 at 12:01 am pacific time.  In addition to the pre-order, Verizon will also be offering a pretty nice trade in deal.

On eligible devices, which include the iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5c, and 5s, iPhone buyers will be eligible for a free iPhone 6 16 GB phone.  The free will come in the form of a $200 Verizon Wireless gift card.  A new 2 year activation will be required to take advantage of the deal as well.

Despite the fact that the offer includes a gift card, even if you are not able to use the credit anywhere else, it can still be used towards paying off your phone bill.

With the announcement of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple has excited many Apple fans across the globe.  As we talked about previously, the launch is expected to be huge due to how many iPhone 5 and earlier owners have held onto their devices in anticipation of the new phone.

Those looking to secure an iPhone on launch day will likely need to be online at Verizon or another pre-order location as soon as they go live.  Look for the iPhone 6 to be the best-selling cell phone to date.
