You may recall that Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was involved in a bit of a ‘tip gate’ recently as he left a .20 cent tip on a $60 dollar bill.

Unhappy, the waiter brought the insulting tip to local media which blew the story up so large, LeSean McCoy was forced to respond. The Pro Bowl talented somewhat skated around the issue, though suggested bad service was behind the woeful tip.

Case closed, right? Well, not so fast.

Actor (and noted sports fan) Charlie Sheen decided to stick his nose in the door and has decided to give the waiter a $1,000 bucks, this according to TMZ.

"Now, Charlie Sheen is getting involved … issuing a statement saying, “dear Tommy Up at PYT in Philly. Please tell Rob K I’m pledging 1000 dollars to him for the tip debacle just wanna help. c #NoJudgement”"

Why exactly Charlie Sheen has decided to throw his hat in the ring here is unknown, though Sheen has seemingly been on a mission to give money to any public matter in recent weeks including the donation of a boat to anti-whaling group Sea Sheppard.

It’s a very kind gesture on the part of Sheen, though, it’s a slap in the face of LeSean McCoy if he indeed was treated poorly in the recent as he somewhat suggested.

Seems rather likely that Charlie is going to get an influx of people claiming they were wronged by an athlete/celebrity in the coming hours in effort to nab a little extra cash.
