You know, Alex Rodriguez seems like a decent guy off the field. Sure, he’s a bit of an ego-maniac but he’s pretty kind to fans who approach the banished slugger.

Of course, given his tarnished reputation, A-Rod would be best served to give every fan a photo and autograph in hopes that he can rebuild his image. Yet, the New York Yankees infielder continually does over-the-top stuff which seemingly irks the general public.
For instance, Alex Rodriguez apparently recently creating a LinkedIn profile. While there’s been no concrete evidence to suggest it is indeed A-Rod who created the profile, LinkedIn told the Wall Street Journal they believe it to be a real account.
"A LinkedIn spokeswoman said the company has not been in touch with Rodriguez’s camp to confirm it is an official page but said, “All signals indicate it is a real profile.” Rodriguez’s spokesman didn’t respond to multiple requests for comment."
What in the world does Alex Rodriguez need an account on a business related social networking site for? Yes, the former MVP does have interests outside of baseball but A-Rod doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who needs a profile on the business-oriented website to keep his interests profitable and alive.

Hopefully he’s still spending time in the batting cage as he’s still under contract with the New York Yankees next season and is owed more than $20 million dollars through 2017. Retiring would give up that money, so it seems like a return to baseball is looming, LinkedIn profile or not.
