The Baltimore Ravens are no strangers to big pre-game entrances from their key defensive players. What they might not be used to, however, is a big entrance that also includes a costume.

Terrell Suggs appears to be ready to step up for the Ravens in a number of roles. He is already the leader of the defense and the vocal leader for his team. The latest mantle is a bit more nuanced, whether it involves costumes or props or not.
That title would be the guy most ready to draw attention to himself. Suggs did just that on Thursday, bringing attention to himself and his entrance by running onto the field looking like this:

Well, it certainly doesn’t lack for theatrics. The symbolism of a gladiator helmet might be questionable given the fact that the NFL is trying to move away from the gladiator/warrior mentality, but that is probably reading too far into things.
Suggs wanted to make a loud entrance, and he did just that, complete with a gladiator look and fire being shot off in the background.
