The Cleveland Browns and tight end Jordan Cameron weren’t able to figure out a contract solution to the long term questions they have about one another and thus no new deal is expected to happen for a while now.

That’s not to say there won’t be a new deal in the future, but there will be a waiting period before anything new happens with Cameron and his contract.
According to Mary Kay Cabot from the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the Browns and Cameron likely won’t get a long term deal done until this offseason, which means the tight end will be playing out 2014 on his current deal.
"Tight end Jordan Cameron wasn’t able to agree to a new, long-term contract with the Browns before the season started, and will most likely play out his contract this season, league sources told cleveland.com."
Cameron is Pro Bowl talent who wants to get paid like the Gronowski’s and Graham’s of the league, but the question is do the Browns value Cameron that much? He burst onto the scene last year as a top threat for the Browns offense but he needs to produce at or near that level again to get consideration for the type of money he wants.
He may have another great year, but it’d best be an injury free year as Cameron is playing a high risk, high reward game in 2014.
