The Atlanta Falcons got a big 37-34 win over the New Orleans Saints in the season opener. It was the right way to start the season after a disappointing 2103 campaign.

The explosive and high-scoring offense might not be so rare for the Falcons, in fact, it could be what they’re aiming for.
“That’s our goal,” receiver Roddy White said, via ESPN. “From the start of the offseason through training camp, we always told ourselves we have to score 30 a game. That’s what we want to do. It’s hard to score 30 in the NFL, I’m trying to tell you. I mean, we’ve got the personnel to do it.
“We’ve got to go out there and execute. We can’t get off to slow starts. And we can’t come out the second half being slow. You’ve got to go through quarters and be consistent in putting up points. If we can do that on a week-to-week basis, we’ve got a chance.”
It isn’t impossible, 12 teams have averaged more than 30 points a game since 2004. They still got to get past NFL defenses week in and week out, though some would argue that the rules hinder defense’s abilities to stop high-caliber offenses. The Falcons do play in a tough division, wich will make the feat all that much harder to achieve.
