After spending what essentially became two seasons nursing injury, Derrick Rose finally returned to the court this summer as a member of Team USA.

Of course, it’s been a struggle for the former NBA MVP as he’s been a shell of his former self, though rust is expected for any player that misses time due to injury.
Despite the mental mistakes and poor shot, Derrick Rose has looked rather spry on his feet and despite the occasional missed practice for rest, the Chicago Bulls star says he’s in the best shape of his life currently.
Rose said he's in best shape ever B4 camp: "I accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish but win this championship. That’s tomorrow."

While that might be true, it hasn’t exactly translated into high quality play, though as noted above you have to give Rose some type of pass considering he hadn’t seen any game action for two years.
At this point, Chicago Bulls fans just have to be thrilled knowing he’ll be back on the court this season (barring another injury) and hope that Derrick Rose will still be the player he once was. As of right now, he’s still getting his feet wet and it’s likely going to take Derrick Rose some time before he can acclimate himself. He’s also not used to being ‘just another guy’ and coming off the bench as he’s done with Team USA, so things will return to normalcy once the Chicago Bulls open their season hopefully.
