Cleveland Cavaliers rumors: Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters had beef?
By Bryan Rose
While racist remarks regarding Luol Deng have understandably (and rightfully so) taken precedent over his leaked scouting report, that’s not the only bit of news coming from the piece.

In fact, it appears the rumored rift between Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers wasn’t just a media driven story and that the two did not care for each other during the 2013-14 season.
You may recall, last year noise began to suggests the two were having problems and then Waiters called Irving along with Tristan Thompson out in the media. The ‘beef’ was quickly smashed and both Waiters and Irving publically stated there was nothing brewing between the two.
However, the leaked Luol Deng scouting report suggests otherwise.
“I talk to *retracted* a good amount and *retracted* told me that it’s a mess in Cleveland because Kyrie and Dion don’t get along because they both pound the ball and want shots.”
The quote comes from an unnamed teammate, possibly a member of the Chicago Bulls considering the ‘teammate’ was agreeing with a sentiment shared by Joakim Noah.
Will this translate to the current Cleveland Cavaliers roster? Well, first off we don’t know how true or serious the issue was. It may have been nothing more than a one-time issue and both Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters are completely passed it. Of course, it could also be a bigger issue though it seems unlikely a roster full of veteran talent like LeBron James and Kevin Love would allow any room for such action this season.
