Clint Trickett hits Mario Alford for the West Virginia TD (Video)
When Clint Trickett decided to transfer from the Florida State Seminoles to the West Virginia Mountaineers last year, many thought he could be the answer for the loss of quarterback Geno Smith to the NFL.

That wasn’t the case last year as Trickett only started a handful of games and the Mountaineers had the worst season in years.
This year, it has been a different story. Trickett played very well against the Alabama Crimson Tide as the Mountaineers hung with the second-ranked Tide before ultimately losing 33-23. He looked good in a 54-0 win over Towson last week.
The Mountaineers are currently taking on the Maryland Terrapins and Trickett is lighting them up. Trickett has completed 19-of-24 passes for 303 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, including a 43-yard touchdown toss to Mario Alford in the second quarter.
