Hundley was replaced by sophomore Jerry Neuheisel, the son of former Bruins coach Rick Heuheisel.
According to CBSSports.com, a UCLA spokesperson told media in the press box that Hundley’s return was probable.
Hundley, a redshirt junior for No. 12 UCLA, had completed 68.8 percent of his passes for 638 yards and three touchdowns in wins over Virginia and Memphis, while also rushing for 65 yards on 26 carries with one score. He had thrown one interception.
Last season, Hundley threw for 3,071 yards and 24 touchdowns with nine picks while completing 66.8 percent of his throws and scored 11 rushing touchdowns while gaining 748 yards. That came after a standout redshirt freshman campaign in 2012 that included 3,740 passing yards, 355 yards on the ground and a total of 38 touchdowns—29 passing and nine rushing.
In limited action last season, Neuheisel was 11-for-13 for 124 yards.
