The Cincinnati Bengals lost A.J. Green to a toe injury early on in their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons but he was at least questionable to return at the time.

More from Atlanta Falcons

That is no longer the case as Green has now been ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Falcons. his toe had been acting up all week long and it was questionable if he’d even play, but green made it through the week and was active for today’s game.

Needless to say, that didn’t last long.

Losing Green is huge for the Bengals as it means their No.1 receiving target is out for the entire game. That’s not good under any circumstances but it’s especially not good when you’re the Bengals and your offense flows through your No. 1 target.

What this means is we may see an increased running attack with Giovanni Bernard and Jeremy Hill, as Hue Jackson promised Hill more carries after last week and losing Green might put an emphasis on that.
