There were a lot of shakeups on Saturday, so let’s see what it did to the poll!
1. Florida State: The idle Seminoles hang on to the top spot.
2. Alabama: Blew out Southern Miss, but still didn’t cover the ridiculous (-48.5) spread.
3. Oregon: The Ducks climb over Oklahoma with win over Wyoming, but didn’t when they beat Michigan State.
4. Oklahoma: Good showing at home against Tennessee, and they still fall.
5. Auburn: A bye after a scrimmage will have the Tigers well rested for SEC play.
6. Baylor: The Bears jump a spot after dismantling Buffalo.
7. Texas A&M: The Aggies had such a good bye week that they gained a slot.
8. LSU: The Tigers also move up a spot with a methodical win over Monroe.
9. Notre Dame: The Irish jump two spots into the top ten with a hard fought win over Purdue.
10. UCLA: The Bruins are back in the top ten after escaping Texas.
11. Michigan State: Sparty climbs two spots on their bye. Take that, A&M!
12. Mississippi: Another impressive win for the Rebels has them up three spots.
13. Arizona State: Move up with a win over Colorado.
14. Georgia: Dropped eight slots with the heartbreaking loss to South Carolina.
15. Stanford: They get a spot back with smothering of Army.
16. South Carolina: Jump seven slots with win over Georgia, but still behind the Dawgs.
17. Wisconsin: Idle Badgers also stationary in the polls.
18. Ohio State: Destroyed Kent State to regain some swagger.
19. Missouri: Beat down a pretty good UCF team to jump into the top 20.
20. Kansas State: Wildcats idle in the polls as well.
21. USC: Plummet 11 spots after loss to Boston College.
22. Nebraska: They actually lose a spot in the coaches poll!
