This week, it looked like they may suffer the same fate.
The Browns held a fourth quarter lead on the explosive fourth quarter Saints but a Mark Ingram touchdown run gave the Saints a 24-23 lead. The score remained 24-23 for nearly all of the fourth quarter.
The Browns got the ball back on their own four with just 2:46 to go. They drove to the Saints’ 39-yard line and faced second-and-10 with just 13 seconds to play. That’s when Brian Hoyer found Andrew Hawkins at the 11-yard line. He made the grab and the Browns used their final timeout. Billy Cundiff then came into the game and nailed a 29-yard field goal, giving the Browns a 26-24 start and 1-1 record while sending the Saints to 0-2.
