Instead, we had plenty of fantastic games, including the triple overtime thriller between the Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats.
We also saw the sixth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs fall to the South Carolina Gaemcocks, who rebounded from their season-opening loss to the Texas A&M Aggies. The ninth-ranked Southern Cal Trojans were defeated by the Boston College Eagles and the 17th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies were taken down by the East Carolina Pirates.
On Sunday, the newest Associated Press poll was released.
There wasn’t much change at the top of the poll as the Florida State Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma Sooners and Auburn Tigers remained 1-5.
Georgia, however, fell from 6 to 13 after their loss to South Carolina while Texas A&M moved up to six. The Baylor Bears, LSU Tigers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Ole Miss Rebels round out the top 10.
