That places a lot of pressure on Charles in terms of his production and in terms of his health. In terms of the latter, things took an unfortunate turn for Charles and the Chiefs on Sunday.
Charles was forced to exit his team’s contest against the Denver Broncos with an ankle injury. His return is questionable.

Coming off a rough week 1 showing in which Charles did not get many touches, the star running back will have to wait and see if he can get back in this game to make an impact and help his team pursue a win in an early divisional showdown in Denver. In his stead, Knile Davis will take the bulk of the work in the running game for Kansas City.
