To say Mike Wallace’s first season with the Miami Dolphins was a disaster would be a bit of an understatement.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, known more for his ability to get open on deep passes, struggled with the rather weak arm of quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The two could never get on the same page but this offseason the two worked out together and needless to say, it looks like they have found some chemistry.
Not only did Mike Wallace score a touchdown in Week 1, he did so today in Week 2. More than that, it was a beautiful one-handed grab that brought the Miami Dolphins within a touchdown.
The grab from Wallace was much needed as the Miami Dolphins lost starting running back Knowshon Moreno to a rather gruesome elbow injury early in the first quarter and have struggled offensively since that time. It’s not known how long Moreno will be sidelined, though if Wallace can continue to dominate at the wide receiver position Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins may not miss him as much as expected.
Wallace and his Dolphins are still going to need some help from their defense if they’re to come out victorious in Week 2, though it’s clear the wide receiver is putting in work this season.
Certainly a welcome change for fans of the organization who understandably grew rather tired of Wallace and his actions last season during his struggles.
