Carolina Panthers concerned over Kelvin Benjamin dropping passes
By Bryan Rose
When the Carolina Panthers drafted Kelvin Benjamin, they knew success wasn’t going to be immediate.

Of course, that’s not to say they didn’t hope Benjamin wouldn’t break the mold and would easily run away with the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but expectations were tempered. Still, the former Florida State star has shown flashes through the first two games of Carolina’s season that leaves plenty of room for excitement.
Still, despite a flashy catch here and there, Kelvin Benjamin has been plagued with dropped passes and the Carolina Panthers (namely head coach Ron Rivera) feel it’s simply due to a lack of focus.
While such may not normally be a concern given Kelvin Benjamin is just two games into his NFL career, the wide receiver did have a problem with drops during his tenure with the Seminoles. Given that, the cause for concern may be a bit heightened on the part of the Panthers and Rivera. Still, there’s plenty of time for the issue to be resolved and it’s truly nothing more than an issue of focus, there’s no reason Benjamin won’t be able to correct the issue moving forward.
For now, Kelvin Benjamin will continue to be the Carolina Panthers’ top wide receiver, even if he proves to be inconsistent for the time being.
Hopefully a few more games and getting comfortable in the league will help alleviate the pass dropping problem.
