Eagles vs Colts final score, 30-27: Three things we learned from Philly’s come-from behind win
By Josh Hill
The Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts went head-to-head on Monday Night Football and while the game seemed lopsided at one point, the Eagles fought back once again to make things interesting in the end.

After jumping out to a 17-6 lead over the Eagles, the Colts failed to hold Chip Kelly’s offense at bay and allowed them back into the game just like the Jaguars did last week. And just like last week, the Eagles were able to get the win, this week with a last-second field goal as time expired.
So after the game and what we saw, here’s three things we learned to carry into Week 3 for the Colts and Eagles.
Never Count Out Chip Kelly’s Offense
Last week everyone started foaming and the mouth over the Eagles falling behind the Jacksonville Jaguars and just about every football fan in the world had a hissy fit over how Chip Kelly’s offense was a one year wonder type of deal and that nothing good was going to happen this year.
Well never count out the Eagles was the moral of the story then and it was the case again this week. Indianapolis pounced all over the Eagles 17-6 and looked to have Nick Foles as confused as Napoleon Dynamite during that weird dance thing he was doing in that movie. But somehow Foles pulled his way out of the funk and relied on his running game to get the team back into things.
Andrew Luck is Super Efficient
Andrew Luck just seems to get more and more awesome with each week that passes. Last week he failed to get the Colts the win against the Broncos but heat least kept things interesting. This week he threw for barely any yards and completed barely half his passes but he still chalked up three touchdowns and got his team the win.
That’s all the Colts need out of their quarterback as he’s someone who may not always light up the stat sheet but when he throws three touchdowns on the night his team usually wins — which is all his job requires.
Acquiring Darren Sproles Was a Good Idea
When the Eagles acquired Darren Sproles from the New Orleans Saints this past offseason, there were many who wondered if the acquisition of an older running back in a fast paced offense. With the Eagles trailing by a touchdown with less than five minutes left in the game, it was Sproles who caught a short pass and took it 51 yards to the Indianapolis six-yard line. That play set up a touchdown pass from Nick Foles to Jeremy Maclin on the next play, tying the game up.
On the next drive, Sproles helped drive the Eagles down the field with a screen catch for about 15 yards to set up the game-winning field goal. Sproles had seven receptions for 152 yards, both game-highs. Sproles was targeted seven times too, catching every ball that came his way.
