Los Angeles Lakers news: Kobe Bryant, Byron Scott to butt heads?
By Bryan Rose
No, Kobe Bryant may not be the most talented player in the NBA any longer though he’s still a force to be reckoned with.

What he may lack in physical gifts stripped by Father Time, Kobe makes up in sheer determination. That’s something Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott is well aware of. Scott has previously stated he plans to sit Kobe Bryant at times this season in effort to keep him healthy, a sentiment Bryant understandably probably isn’t feeling given his competitive spirit.
Given that, Byron Scott says he expects to butt heads with Kobe Bryant this season.
“I know how stubborn he is and he knows how stubborn I am,” Scott says. “There’s going to be times we’re butting heads. But it’s all because we want to win.”
Of course, this isn’t Scott’s first rodeo with Kobe Bryant as the two were ironically teammates during Kobe’s rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers, so the two are very familiar with each other. That said, it’s hard to disagree with Scott’s notion considering there hasn’t been a coach Kobe Bryant hashed clashed with during his career. That’s no swipe to Bryant, of course, as his ‘issues’ have simply been in effort to win and he’s seemingly become a little more understanding as he’s aged.
Still, it’s likely going to be a rough season in Hollywood and the Los Angeles Lakers are likely to experience a spat or two between the head coach and All-Star player. Of course, in the spirit of winning, it’s doubtful many will find issue with such.
