Brandon Marshall blasts ESPN on Twitter
By Hayden Kane
Brandon Marshall has an interesting and complicated personal background. There are a number of layers to his personal history. One layer is some issues he has had with mental health and a personality disorder.

It is specifically that mental health aspect of Marshall’s life that was the subject of an ESPN story on Marshall and has been in the past.
As far as the handling of that story is concerned, Marshall is not at all happy or impressed with how things have been portrayed. Judging from his timeline on Twitter, it appears that Marshall thinks ESPN and Lisa Salters took the liberty of putting words in his mouth.
Careful and thoughtful reporting is called for on issues as personal as those in question here. That probably starts to explain why Marshall was so angry in his reaction to a story that he believes was not told fairly. When the matter at hand is as personal and sensitive as this one, it is not surprising that Marshall would be so upset.
It is not that Marshall is not willing to talk about his personal life. He has started Project Borderline for those dealing with borderline personality disorders. He has positioned himself as an advocate on the matter. Marshall clearly believes that this aspect of his life was not portrayed fairly or accurately.
There are two sides to every story, of course, so it will be interesting to see how ESPN reacts to this outburst from Marshall in which he makes it clear that he is calling into question the credibility of their process in developing the story.
