It’s been a busy summer for LeBron James. Not only did the NBA icon return to the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency, James also apparently found time to help renovate the home of a sixth-grader in Akron, Ohio.

Okay, so maybe James didn’t throw a ton of cash at the project considering many of the items were donated. And no, it’s unlikely that LeBron helped much during construction of the property, but you can’t help but applaud the Cavs forward for continually going above and beyond in his community service.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal, LeBron James and his Family Foundation teamed up with popular television network HGTV and two decided to renovate the home of a local family for an episode of “Rehab Addict” set to air later this Fall.
"James and his wife, Savannah, are touring the house with the family and the show’s star, Nicole Curtis, while volunteers and other spectators wait eagerly outside. The Jameses’ sons — LeBron Jr. (Bronny) and Bryce — pass the time fiddling with a camera on a boom and chasing friends on the sidewalk."
Mariah Riley, the sixth-grader at the heart of the home renovation is said to be thrilled with her new digs, including a completely overhauled room. But that wasn’t the only highlight for Mariah as she was able to play a game of one-on-one against LeBron James, which is set to air with the episode.
Now if he could just get that roller coaster named after himself….
