Brandon Jennings: Last year was my worst season
By Sam Richmond
Simply put, Brandon Jennings’ first season as a member of the Detroit Pistons was a mess.

Detroit won just 29 games and missed the playoffs in a terrible Eastern Conference, while Jennings averaged 15.5 points per game on a miserable 37.3 percent shooting from the field. The Pistons also dealt with inner turmoil, as they had an in-season coaching change.
Things were so bad in 2013-14 that Jennings is now calling this past season his “worst year,” according to the Detroit News.
"“I’m gonna be honest. It was my worst year,” said Jennings, repeating it for emphasis. “Dealing with all types of things. The fractured jaw, losing weight, not being able to play preseason, missing games. Then getting into a rhythm, then Mo (Cheeks) was fired and I’m back down again. It was just the worst season ever, a roller coaster.”"
But it appears Jennings is ready for a bounce back year. He revealed in the same interview that he’s gained 25 pounds and ready to commit on the defensive end with new head coach Stan Van Gundy in the fold.
"“He’s really big on details and he said you’re gonna have to play defense and give your all, every night,” Jennings said. “He already said it, I’m not expecting you to lock guys up one on one. Guys are just too good. But what we can do is give a good effort and play team defense.”"
The Milwaukee Bucks selected Jennings with the No. 10 pick in the 2009 NBA draft.
