Have we seen the last of Adrian Peterson playing for the Minnesota Vikings? It seems odd to suggest, but its a situation that continues to get more likely by the day.

While Peterson is not a free agent at season end, the recent allegations levied against the Pro Bowl running back have forced the hand of the Minnesota Vikings organization. The team will allow the legal process to play itself out but according to Pro Football Talk, regardless of the outcome, Peterson’s time as a Minnesota Vikings is likely coming to an end.
"In the immediate aftermath of the child-abuse charges filed against Adrian Peterson, it seemed probable that he wouldn’t be playing for the Vikings after the 2014 season. It’s now likely that Peterson will never wear a Vikings uniform again."
Adrian Peterson will be owed $12.75 million dollars by the Minnesota Vikings for the 2015 season, a deal which is obviously too large to be traded. Given that, if a trade was to happen, Adrian Peterson would need to significantly restructure his deal. There’s been no indication that he’s willing to do so nor if the Minnesota Vikings would even entertain the thought.
Needless to say, it looks as if the Vikings will either need to keep Adrian Peterson on their roster moving forward and deal with significant backlash or simply cut ties once the legal issues have been resolved. As of right now though, it seems as if moving on would be their best course of action.
