Looking to prove that the resurgence of their offense is for real this season, the Falcons might have to operate in this one without one of their top weapons on that side of the ball.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports believes that Roddy White will not be able to play on Thursday due to a lingering hamstring issue:
While there did not seem to be indications that White would necessarily miss this game over the course of the week, the fact that this hamstring injury held him out of practice on Monday and Tuesday did not bode well for a short week of preparation.
If the Falcons choose to deactivate White for this game, it would buy him an extra 10 days of rest because of the fact that this game is on Thursday. That would be a decision that favors the long view for the Falcons, as White has proven to be such a key player for them.
This news is not official yet, but considering the fact that White was already questionable and his status seemed murky all week, it sounds like he will be out or quite limited as the Falcons take the field on a short week.
