When you coach a team like the Florida Atlantic Owls, you have to have a sense of humor. The Owls were outscored 96-7 by Nebraska and Alabama earlier this season. And with the problems of the old regime under Carl Pelini, well, you needed someone a little more loose.

That seems to be what they have in new coach Charlie Partridge. His team will travel to Wyoming to take on the Cowboys on Saturday, and the hotel that they are staying at in nearby Cheyenne, Wyoming is supposedly haunted.
So, to get the team prepared, Coach Partridge invited a “visitor” to practice.
We had a strange visitor at @FAU_football practice today. @CoachPartridge I am nervous to come back! #WinToday pic.twitter.com/4alrglBZRo

Well, you wouldn’t want your team to be caught off guard, would you? Wouldn’t it be kind of hard to focus with something like that wandering around in the middle of your practice field? It may send the wrong message, like maybe the next hit you take will be your last, or something to that effect.

Partridge has definitely been a boon to the program, so Athletic Director Pat Chun will likely put up with the occasional stunt like this. If they keep rattling off 29 point wins like they did last week against Tulsa, the reaper may become a permanent fixture in practice!
