The NFL is suspending players left and right for their moral choices off the field, which means that every single player int he league should be on notice about how they carry themselves outside the game. Well, everyone except Kansas City Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt, that is.

In a story that got predictably weirder as it unfolded, Dustin Colquitt is the subject of some Arrowhead scratching on Thursday after a peculiar picture showed up on his Twitter feed. Arrowhead Addict passed along a tweet of Colquitt holding his son, who in turn is holding a Bud Light beer can that is almost as big as he is.

As the story goes, Colquitt claims his account was compromised and has since deleted the tweet but not before some Twitter followers blasted him for the timing of this tweet.

It’s not that Colquitt did anything as bad as Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy or Ray Rice here as his son is holding a beer can that is probably empty and he’s not chugging it down. But the timing of the tweet comes when the NFL is suspending players in a fashion that is being deemed a witch hunt by some, which makes this more than just poor judgement.

Nothing is likely going to happen to Colquitt, but his quick deletion of the Tweet shows just how frazzled NFL players are about big brother Goodell watching them from high atop his tower.
