We’ve seen SEC fans do despicable things to one another, whether it is poisoning trees or the other despicable things that happened at the BCS National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers. This one is new, and not a great look either.

On Saturday the Tennessee Volunteers took on the Oklahoma Sooners. A Tennessee man, identified as Mark Allen Hughes, allegedly made his 15-year-old son play a drinking game with him as they watched the game.

From WLTX:

"Some of the witnesses then left the home, but when they came back, the teen was lying unresponsive on the kitchen floor.Hughes started fighting with the people in the house when they tried to take the boy to the hospital, so they put the 15-year-old in the back of a car and called police.Officers said Hughes was “clearly intoxicated” and “couldn’t keep his balance.” Hughes was apparently cursing and screaming at witnesses, according to the release. Officers said they had to restrain Hughes when he tried to attack the witnesses."

The boy had no pulse when policed arrived, was taken to a local Knoxville hospital and has recovered. Hughes is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child and aggravated child abuse and neglect.
