Whatever you call him, the New York Yankees shortstop is on his farewell tour and there has been plenty of coverage and attention as he makes his final steps onto the field at ballparks around the country.
On Thursday night, Jeter homered at Yankee Stadium for this first time this year so he was once again in the headlines.
Unfortunately for FOX News, the person who updated the crawler outside of their building made a major typo.
Derek Jeter has now become “Derek Jester,” but the joke is on FOX.
To be fair to FOX News, at least they got the first name right. They just added an extra letter.
It was a much smaller blunder than CBS News tweeting out “Michael Jeter” during the 2014 MLB All Star Game.
