Jameis Winston has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this week after shouting vulgar and inappropriate comments earlier this week and has been suspended for the first half for the Florida State Seminoles game against the Clemson Tigers.

The inappropriate comments were just another red flag for NFL teams to consider before investing a high pick in the reigning Heisman winner and has at least one NFL scout telling NFL Media’s Albert Breer that Winston is a fraud.
"“It’ll hurt him significantly,” said the area scout, who is assigned to Florida State. “Especially with all the stuff going on in the league. This may force him to stay another year to clean up his image. He’s a fraud. You can’t believe anything he says, because he keeps doing the same things over and over. In my mind, there are night-and-day differences between (Johnny) Manziel’s and his character concerns. Winston has some serious issues.”"
Winston is an outstanding talent that would make him worthy of the No. 1 overall pick but his maturity and criminal issues could prove to be too much of a risk for an NFL team and not worth the potential reward.
Only a redshirt sophomore, Winston could declare for the 2015 NFL Draft if he wanted or he could wait until the 2016 or even the 2017 draft to repaid his damaged draft stock and rehab his reputation in college and alleviate some of the doubts NFL teams have about him.
