Phoenix Suns rumors: Want ‘stud’ in Eric Bledsoe trade
By Bryan Rose
On the surface, a trade involving Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns and Ricky Rubio of the Minnesota Timberwolves seems rather fair.

No, Bledsoe isn’t the floor general of Rubio but he’s the better scorer. Add in that Eric Bledsoe seems uninterested in re-signing with the Phoenix Suns and the rumored deal seems plausible.
It’s better to get something of value than get nothing, right? Well, apparently not as the Phoenix Suns are said to have no interest in a trade for Ricky Rubio. Why not? Well, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Suns are only interested in trading their point guard for a ‘stud’.
It seems rather obvious that the Minnesota Timberwolves have a thing for Eric Bledsoe but aren’t going to pay the elevated asking price. It’s a smart move on their part as an alleged offer of Rubio is more than adequate given the Phoenix Suns don’t have much leverage in a deal.
On the flip side, the Suns are likely hoping that they’ll be able to convince Eric Bledsoe to remain with the organization after the season (assuming he’s to sign their one-year qualifying offer) or at minimum will be able to sign-and-trade him at season end.
