Feeling empowered by his team’s dramatic comeback and near victory on the road at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Harris expressed his opinion the Broncos will face the Seahawks in the Super Bowl again this season. After that, he dropped a soundbite that is worthy of a full segment of shouting and hot takes on First Take and the like on Monday morning.
Harris said that he believes Russell Wilson is a better quarterback than Andrew Luck.
It is understandable that Harris would feel this way, as he had a front row seat as Wilson engineered an absolutely perfect touchdown drive in overtime that ended in a winning run from Marshawn Lynch. Then again, Luck arguably does more with less to work with, and he just so happened to throw for 391 yards and four touchdowns on Sunday.
How about this? Instead of embracing debate and getting mad about which quarterback is better, let’s just say that they are both really good for different reasons. In Wilson’s case on Sunday, his greatness made an impression on Harris thanks to an outstanding effort in a winning drive.
